Other honourees at the Gala also include Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; Finance Minister and Coordinating for the Economy, Former President of the United States of America; Bill Clinton and Dr Mehriet Mandefo; President of Truth Aid and winner of a 2014 Sundance Film Festival Award.

As part of efforts to promote his recently released book, Julius Agwu held an autograph book-signing session in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The signing held on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at the Silverbird Cinema, Port-Harcourt as fans had chance to hangout with the Rivers State-born comedian/musician/actor and took away autographed copies of the book- not FOC though.

Jonathan endorses Gov Jang’s faction

President Goodluck Jonathan has moved to formally recognise Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang, as the chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum. Jonathan had consistently denied any link to the intrigues that preceded the May 24 election of a new chairman of the forum.

The President had also denied backing any candidate after a crisis erupted over the declaration that Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, beat Jang by 19 – 16 votes in the election.But, Jonathan shifted ground on Thursday night at the PDP family dinner in Abuja, when in his address he recognised Jang as “the chairman of the NGF.” For the rest of the news,click HERE!
